Re: Guatemala 25-Dec, 2008 Fishing Report

The Guys had a great time raising 26 sails with 21 bites, and Releasing 15. The guys also raised 3 blue marlins and George and Chuck teamed up to release a fish in the 300+ range. This particular fish put on a magnificent tail walking show, reminding us all why the man in the blue suite is so special.
Our own Jake Jordan invited Brian Horsley and Sarah Gardner of Outer Banks fame to sample our waters with the Fly. Be sure to visit their Blog at:

Fishing has been peaks and valleys these last few weeks, we locate the fish have a good bite but when we return to the general vicinity they have either moved on or we locate a new batch, the longest we have been able to stay on any one group of fish was three days. The Big Nov, Dec bite has not materialized “Yet” and I emphasize “Yet”. I’m sure by our next fish report the huge numbers that you have come accustomed to will materialize rapidly as the new year approaches. On the flip side there has been no shortage of Blue Marlins. We have all been a bit unlucky with our bites to catch ratio as detailed in the fish Report. I had a 4 day stretch where I saw 9 had 5 bites and only released one. Capt. Chris yesterday on the “Buddy Boy” 12-14-08 had three bites and also released one of about 175#s. So don’t fret, grab an open date while you still can, call our office to book your trip of a lifetime! We’ll keep a rod baited for you.
