I am a 37 year old transplanted Texan now living in Costa Rica. My husband and I are avid fisher people and decided to stop paying to charter fishing boats and buy a charter boat of our own.

I know most of the sites try to appeal to a group of guys traveling together or to a man who happens to bring along his wife to sit by the pool while he fishes.

The fishing is good in Quepos year round, during the green season bull dorado, tuna, snapper, and roosterfish are prevalent. The Marlin and Sailfish bite is best from now through the end of April.

The 5 day package rates for 2 people start at $2200/person. The price includes 3 days fishing, 4 nights accommodations, and transportation to and from San Jose. The price per person when 4 people are traveling starts at $1550/person, and for 6 people, $990/person.

I don't know where you are traveling from, but currently a flight to Costa Rica from Fort Lauderdale is only $220 RT including taxes.
