Fishing the last few week's has been very entertaining to say the least. We have been blessed with beautiful weather almost every day, here in the midst of the Mackerel & kingfish run. It almost seems like whatever you would want to catch is available right now from large black tip sharks, big kingfish & Spanish mac's as well as Bonita, bluefish, blue runners, & jack's, they have all blessed us by strapping on the feed bag.

One really fun way to spend an afternoon right now is to go just barely offshore, about two - three miles and watch for the birds diving & working on top of huge schools of bait. The fish are almost always there just idle up, cut the engines and cast some light tackle at em. Live sardines, spoons, jigs, whatever they can fit in there mouths will get hit. And that's just the fishing offshore to about forty feet of water. Out just a bit further we are finding more nice kingfish, & ton's of Kingfish.
When you want to have a lot of fun boating a bunch of these fish, try trolling a lure down at least 35-40 feet, this has been very productive when we are fishing in clear water, about fifty - sixty feet deep. As soon as you boat a couple nice size King's trolling, just anchor-up & drop out your live bait's and hold on tight. Offshore wrecks are holding the BIG amberjack again, and there hungry, almost anything they can fit in there mouth's will be swallowed up the next few week's, these bruisers will be entertaining us all the way through the winter months, & on into spring.

The snapper bight seems to be heating up a bit, they are chewing real good on the 60-65 foot ledges in the daytime now as well as some really nice triggerfish & lane snapper. We are using live shrimp for the most part on these fish, 2/0 circle hooks & light leaders are a must. Dont be surprised to lose a few fish to Huge Goliath Grouper that live on these same spots.
