The day was like most of our offshore days have been lately cold but full of fish. I took my friends Jim, Steve, and Brian out for some AJ action on the jigs. We pulled in 30-35 AJs before we turned our focus to grouper and snapper that must be released. I got to try out my new custom rod made by thelipripper and it worked perfect for grouper and AJs. Thanks for the great rod Brian. It was worth every penny! I tried several of my deeper spots today to see how they were producing fish and they all seemed to be well stocked. I'll be finished with my Captains class by mid March so I will be trying out all the spots I haven't hit in a while to make sure I'm on top of my game when grouper season opens in April. It looks like its going to be a great year offshore!!!
