I had a trip offshore planned today to catch kings & grouper but NOAA said 3-4 footers & 20 mph wind so I call Capt.Bill up and said lets put these guys on some big fish inshore; the weather sucks offshore. Our 1st stop was the flats for trout. The biggest trout was just under 20 inches. We didn't catch any real big trout but a bunch between 15-17 inches so they got to bring home their limit. After we finished catching dinner we set up for the big fish Bull sharks. We lost 5-6 real big sharks, landed 2 nice sized bulls, a few small ones and a bunch of small bonnethead and small blacktip sharks. After we finished playing with the sharks we moved a few miles to try to land a Tarpon. Capt. Bill landed 3 nice tarpon on one of his trips last week so we went back to try to get a few. The tarpon were there but they were real picky. Missy hooked one and got a few awesome jumps out of about a 100 pounder but we couldn't get any other takers. John and Missy had a great time and caught some nice fish. Missy landed the biggest trout, biggest bullshark and hooked the tarpon but John did catch the biggest snook of the day. Good job guys. You both did great and thanks for letting us catch a few too.
this little guy put up a good fight on the trout rod
Well its not really a monster but it is a snook. The title looks so much better with the word monster in it :tooth:
Trying to get a big bull under control
John trying to take a pic without losing an arm
Handling the shark like a pro
finally a bull we could pull in the boat
