We started out in 35 feet and made it as deep as 45 with alot of grouper action on the bottom. We picked up a few kings on the flat-lines while grouper fishing and lost a real big king by the boat. After limiting on grouper we started trolling and limited on kings very fast with a ton of spanish macs mixed in. We stopped by my cobia hole and shortly after chumming up the water with chunks of bonito and sardines the cobia started circling the boat. We landed two, lost one, and had trouble getting the others to eat. The water was a little rough on the way out but by 2:30-3pm when we were heading in the seas flattened out for us.
We watched a gigantic king bite this one in half while Steve was reeling him in
Double on keepers
We had to weed through a bunch of these
