Thumbs up Congrats to marine artist Adrian Gray!

I wanted to say congrats to my good friend Adrian Gray for making the lineup in the 2010 Offshore Art Gallery for the Dec/January 2010 issue of Marlin. Adrians beautiful blue marlin piece "Top Billing" can be seen on page 52. Adrian was the Artist Of The Year for the 2009 USVI Atlantic Blue Marlin Tournament ..AKA.. "The Boyscout". It should also be mentioned that the original was very generously donated by Adrian to the Boyscouts of St Thomas to be auctioned off at the awards banquet. A very nobel gesture considering it was his very first blue marlin piece. I was honored to get my hands on a beautiful giclee that now sits above my fireplace.

Adrian can be reached at (305)773-6912 or AdrianEGray@aol.com

My hat is also off to all the other very talented artists that made it in the lineup. Congrats to you all.

You know I saw his painting in Marlin and thought....."I think that's Captain Dave's buddy". His work is fantastic!!

Now I'm thinking...."hmmmm, I suddenly have a lot of wall space that needs to be filled. Probably need to visit Adrian's site when it's back up."

adrian is, as my aunt used to say (mixing up her plaudits with her plumbling) a multi-fauceted fellow. he works full time for IGFA and is responsible for the newsletters and yearbook, which just keep getting better and better. but obviously he's a marvelous artist and, btw, a superb underwater/topside fishing photographer. if you doubt that, check out the bonefish on the jul/aug cover of SF -- that's adrian's. and best of all, he's a straight-up no-b.s. guy. i'm sure we'll all be seeing lots more of adrian gray!
