I'm going to copy and paste his e-mail that he sent to me. He sent me a video also but I have no idea how to put it up here. What a jerk off this guy is. This happened in the Oldsmar/Palm Harbor area
Here's his e-mail
I was on my way to work this morning- and stopped by a fishing hole to see if the cold snook made it through the night. As i pulled up i saw a man closing the gate of his truck and in the back of it was a big barrel with 3 snook tails hanging out of it. I walked up to him and asked what he was doing. He said the snook were already dead. This was an obvious lie- due to me seeing them slap back and forth slowly in the barrel. He had no poles in his truck - just a big barrel and a big landing net. he used the big net and scooped up the "still alive- stunned" fish. I was very upset and told him he was poaching snook. He then told me he had 4 kids to feed. I replied telling him "dont pull the poverty card out because your driving a 40k truck. I proceeded to take out my camera and video tape him. He got scared went and threw the snook back in the water. I initially thought there were 3 in his barrel and i was wrong. He had 7 snook all of which were still alive and over 35 inches. i would say about 100 lbs of meat. I proceeded to call FWC and they told me they had alot of calls like mine but would call me back if they needed more info. This told me in a round about way- "we cant help you"...I stuck around to see if police or FWC would show up- but they never did. I hung around for 45 minutes and still not FWC..Then who shows up?...The poacher he scurried off an hour earlier. This time he had 2 barrels....I managed to snap pictures of him and i got a licence number on the video which cut out after 13 seconds...If you see this an or any other snook please report it, and talk to the person poaching. it is a shame this cold snap will kill roughly 30-40% of the local population and there are guys like this out there plucking the "still-alive" breeders out of the water with a net...I feel like i need to go back there tomorrow and guard this spot for another day or so....to make sure nobody else does it...From what i hear - there are only 11 FWC officers for the whole state- which means it is up to all of us to make an effort to stop illegal poaching ourselves. he is a few pics of the guy coming back a second time with the same barrel...If you know this man - give him a piece of your mind
Here's the pics of the perp
That is nuts! Some body has GOT to recognize a massive gray quaff like THAT!
Fish now-die later!
Looks like a restaurant trash can....
Snook is back on the menu, boys!
