Hialeah snook, yes, Hialeah.

Decided to head to the Hialeah santeria ditches. Casted the Shad Rap around a bridge and saw a snook follow it in. He stayed real close so I fired the next cast across his nose and he nailed it! It was a tough fight because I was fishing for bass, only using 10# braid and 15# leader close to pilings. He had every bit of strength that a salty that size would have. Tried desperately to break me off. Finally landed him and I was shaking. As I tried to take a pic he shook free and as he twisted the lure cut me with the hooks in 6 different places on my arm and hands. Took the lure out and proceeded to take the pics.







Nice to be able to catch snook while the Conchita Bus drives by.
