    Default Abacos...Guana Cay?

Has anyone heard any reports from the Abacos?

I will be there in a little over a week and was hoping to hear some news, I know it has been cool and windy so there probably hasn't been many people fishing. Any reports would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Not sure about Guana Cay, but I fished the Marls from Abaco Lodge 2/18 - 2/20. First day was cool (50s) and windy. Did not see a fish until 2:00 pm and only saw about 10 all day. They were sluggish and not real interested in feeding. Hooked 2.

2nd day, less wind and a little warmer. First fish at 10:15. Saw about fifty, mainly singles and doubles in deeper water (well relatively deeper, the Marls is 400 sq.miles of three feet or less in depth) Hooked 10.

3rd day. Started in the 60s and warmed to low 70s. Saw hundreds, maybe even thousands of fish. Some huge schools and some small schools. We hooked 21 that day.

This was my first trip to Abaco to fish and I will definately be going back.

Thanks, I will probably do a little fishing for bones on Guana around the house. I would really like some sort of offshore report, I would really like to catch a couple tuna or mahi.

I have been going to the Abacos for 20 years, it is my favorite place in the world. The Marls is a lot of fun usually, I have fished back there a few times an only had 1 or 2 days where where didn't kill them. I just really like to catch stuff to eat. Hopefully you got over to Nipper's on Sunday.
