    Come to Japan? Business or Private? If you have time you can go fishing, there is many spices for fly fishing and some info on my weblog.

    hello,

    can you tell me if there is a need to have the fishing license in japan? alternatively, just go to the sea side then everyone can fish? even foreigner?

    No license needed at most of the sea side, doesn't matter if you are foreigner or not, everyone can fish and all free. However there is some KEEP OUT zone in some port and pier, no enter nor fishing, you can see the sign. Also about 150m of both side of most salmon river mouth is prohibited.
