With red snapper just opening, we had one thing on our mind for the day and of course that was catching red snapper. Everything else was just a bonus. 1st stop was a spot in 50 feet that has been holding a bunch of red snapper and sure enough they were there. We got our red snapper and gags very easily. We were throwing keeper gags and red snapper back all day but we've become used to that over the last 10 months of closure on the snapper. It's just nice to be able to keep a few for a change. We only got 4 keeper red grouper because we didn't see the need to go deeper for them when we could head towards the dock and get some kings. We got a limit of kings and kept 3 of about 20 spanish macs that we caught. The spanish and kings are as thick as the grouper and snapper right now. Ya got to love the big bend!!!

I don't like taking dock shots because the fish look like crap after being on ice but the guys wanted a dock shot because of the red snapper that we got to bring home for a change, so here ya go
