    Default Boat Skunk-A Non Report

Got it here. The last couple of times I've been out it seems as if I just wasn't meant to be. Either somebody doesn't put the lid on the bait bucket tightly, out of the blue everybody just wants to go for a swim at the beach, fuel level is to low to make a run to the fish, somebody has a final to take in a couple hours, the chop piles up, etc... No fish to report here, but not for lack of effort on my part.

Yesterday I scored some huge threads on the sibiki, plenty of pins (and a few blue crabs) in the cast net, and even pass crabs with the dip net. Even found some mullet stacked up - if I had wanted one for cut bait. All the rigs were tied and ready, cooler filled, iPod playing, sun at back, my girl in her bikini. Still a nice day on the water.

That said, I appreciate reading reports of successes here. I guess if I was the only one with boat skunk, there would be a whole lot more reading here.

You had your girl in a bikini, some music and a boat.

    You didn't get skunked.
The only people that tell you it can't be done are the people who haven't done it themselves.
