Does anybody have any recent reports on lower keys permit fishing; or bones, for that matter? Someday I would like to catch a permit on the fly; so any information is helpful.
Summer is the best time of year on the flats for bonefish and permit. We also have tarpon especially early in the morning and babies in the mangroves. Bonefish are all over the place and I have finally started to see some bigger fish lately. I guess they are little late from the cold winter we had. Permit fishing has been really good especially with the bigger tides we are currently experiencing. It's looking like a great weekend weather wise and coming off the new moon. I will post a new report in a few days.
