Still Hot Weather with Good Fishing
Report Date: August 6, 2010
Considering the hot and rainy weather, the fishing is still good with persistent.
Get out early and you'll find tarpon, but their scattered,I tried top water for an hour with no success.I switched to a sinking Bait Buster and that did the trick.
Loads of bait schools, but just not alot under them.A few trout, ladtfish & Mackeral.
Fishing Alex,Paul,Bob,K.C.and Salem this past week, they all did well.
We landed Trout,Reds,Big Drum,lady Fish,Mackeral,and Tripletails.I fished 1 morning and landed a few small snook,and 1 pushing about 12 pounds.
All was on the Gulfside.
The tarpon are now spread out,so take advavtage quickly, they'll disappear very fast as Gil Drake and I know well.
Morning and evening are tarpon times .
Get out ealy before the thunder storms, but get in before they start just to be safe.
