Found some nice redfish schools tightly clumped together. With an incoming tide we were tossing medium-select live shrimp. There are some schools of overslot reds as well as bigger schools of slot reds. Make sure to hit the oyster beds on the incoming in the morning as there was tons of action in the morning.

The snook in this area have taken up ambush points in the mornings and is very easy to have a hookup on topwater. So far their favorite topwater lures are the gold and red top pup, and the mullet colored badonk a donk (high frequency). The baby snook have been tightly wedged inside the mangroves and are willingly accepting shrimp also.

Trout have been scattered in the grass flats but to finish up your slam for the day either live shrimp or a DOA shrimp with a deadly combo popping cork will do the trick

We had one slam this trip and i was a trout away from a slam. The amazing thing is that we were in a 1/2 mile radius all morning in the kayaks and caught a huge variety of fish. Hope you enjoyed my little report here is some pics of that day.
