Default Fishing Venice, La. / Super Strike Charters

The offshore fishing continues to be excellent. We have been fishing everyday since last Friday and all I can say is that it has been steady Tuna fishing action. They are basically eating everything from Jigs, diving baits, poppers, chum, and live bait. If you’ve got it, they’ll eat it. Most of the fish have been in the 30-50lb. range. We have been targeting this size fish because that is where most of the action is. The bigger ones are out there but it requires a little more patience and lately our crews have been after quantity. The wahoo have shown up again as they normally do in mid-March. Size is everything when it comes to wahoo and they have been averaging 50lbs.+. During a real good bite you start going thru baits just as fast as you catch fish. On one day we lost 4 baits in about 4 seconds. We were running 4 lines at once and they completely cleaned us out. We reloaded and pulled back thru the area they were set and this time we went 2 for 4. We ended the day going 3 for 9 but it was about as hot a bite as you could get on. They have remained steady like this since last Sunday. The fishing is good and the weather even better. Looks like an early spring but we will see. We’ve got open dates for April. April is definitely top-water tuna month. So if you are looking to get out the fishing is good.

Nice! That's some really good meat right there.
The only people that tell you it can't be done are the people who haven't done it themselves.
