Today Big tails and Muttons, with My customers, Angel, Ralph Sr and Ralph JR and Nicky. We hit the bay and storms were all around but we traveled just out of reach. As we got on the Oceanside the weather was nice and it had a 2 to 3 ft chop. Headed out to the first spot in 55 ft anchored up and the tide was a stream. we used 24 oz to hold bottom and we sent down the ballyhoo plug again and managed to get a nice hook up but the power pro 40 broke after fighting the fish more than half way up. While fishing bottom Nicky and Ralph jr were busy bringing in the tails I gave them instructions and a demo and they had it down packed by the third fish, It was fun watching these two hooking tails back to back.
After about 20 tails we moved to 88 feet and started to fish bottom again this time we were getting 3 to 5 lb tails on the bottom and ended up getting three muttons and threw back an under size black. While on the surface baits we got some big tails and a big trigger. the ocean dropped to around a foot and then picked back up a little. we had the ballyhoo behind the boat all day. ended up with 28 tails and 3 muttons. and another Happy customer. tight lines here are the picks, for more go to www.miamimuttonman.com![]()
