Kevin came to the Tri-State Rob builders club meeting last night and presented his abalone work and some of his techniques. It was well timed as I was in the process of getting ready to do a rod that I was going to use abalone for the first time and I have to say it was impressive. I wish I'd have brought more cash then I did the material is beautiful.
Mike! Thanks for the kind words and I am glad that you found value in it! I really enjoy teaching and hope to make the journey up to Phili and do another one in the coming year! Just when there is no snow! Maybe spring. It will all depend on my build schedule and how I an faring with my orders.
Thanks a million for joining up here and I look forward to see how you progress with the veneer. If you need more, check out my site. www.anglersenvy.com/veneer-gallery

I too have to thank Kevin for coming to our meeting giving us the chance to see some of his world. I missed the last time he was there and came an idea of what color abalone I wanted. He had so many choices and ideas that I had to get quite a few of them.
