Maximus/Martuni Long Range tuna Puerto Vallarta

We just got back in from 2 back to back trips fishing on the Maximus and the Martuni.

Full moon conditions and north winds made for a little tougher conditions on the tuna grounds last week.

Fish from 30 to 100lbs put more show then go on bird schools that were
more then plentiful, but our anglers got the job done with full coolers of fish to go home with.

My next trip was with the Martuni, anglers Jones, Crenshaw and Hunter had there chances on the bigger models, but heavy drags equaled to pulled hooks and resulted in lost fish.


Our next morning we made the run to the area we have fished for the last 3 months and schools of 40 to 80lbers were solid. Bird schools for 3 sq. miles and bait balls are showing good signs that this area is going to hold for us for the next 3 months.

Danny Osuna was out with us in the same zone getting the job done with his clients on the Marla.
