I dropped my jet ski at Crab Creek Boat Ramp around 1330hrs and headed out to the Atlantic off of Cape Henry. It was a steady 15-20 out of the NE when I got about 2 miles out. I caught my first Striped Bass in the first 15 minutes on a mojo/ parachute combo in 45 feet of water. Shortly after that the wind picked up to 20-25kts NE and a steady rain accompanied the stiff cool breeze and 4 to 5 footers.
A friend of mine, Tom, was out there on his ski today also. He was not as lucky as me today.
I trolled slowly back towards Virgina Beach and saw some decent bird action closer to shore. I got in some good bait and fish marks and in no time caught three more Stripers in 30 feet of water. I picked up and headed in with two 32-36 inchers around 1530hrs. Fresh baked Striper dinner and after having started my day at 0330hrs, It will not be long before I hit the sack! Here are a couple pictures I took today when I got back.
