Today We had a mixed bag, 3 nice groupers released. We got to the spot and anchored up and got the tails up with a perfect north tide and a beautiful calm ocean, all day. the anglers were David, Phil, and the boy was Robert. This boy is a natural, he fought the fish like an adult all by himself, He easily got 10 nice size tails. his dad and friend did well also, they caught one gag grouper and two blacks which were all quickly released to grow bigger by may first. one black spit out a chicken drumstick bone that Phil had thrown overboard a few minutes before. and had a couple of hooks with leaders hanging out of the mouth, which I cut the line and was able to take only our circle hook out before venting it and releasing it. After catching 30 tails, in this spot we moved on and left the ball behind the boat. We then went to deeper water to find the muttons that were avoiding us all day. At this spot we caught one under size released it and got one about 6 pounds. Here while fishing for the muttons we also got 3 more tails and a small king fish. left the flat ocean behind and while in the bay the wind picked up to gusting speeds. It was another great day on the water. for more look up www.miamimuttonman.com
