I got injured Saturday, while yellowtailing with a couple of friends out of homestead bay front, to make a long story short, I had the big tails behind the boat and began to slam them while my two friends were fishing bottom. On my 5th tail I had taken it of the hook and was walking to the front cooler while the fish wiggled out of my hand and dropped just over the gunnel and I quickly slapped it back in the boat, but I was stuck by a dorsal spine that broke inside about 5 inches below my left wrist. My friend and I tried to cut it out but it suddenly disappeared time to go. got to Homestead Hospital and they took X-rays and it showed the fish spine was there. But they didn’t have a surgeon, that could take it out, so I called an Ex customer that is a hand surgeon and Sunday Morning he cut it out for me and he did a grate job and didn’t charge me. Here is Mondays report, Left the doc at 7am headed out to 55 feet anchored up to get some speedo and to fish bottom the anglers were Jorge and El Cascara. They took turns fishing bottom and catching tails and had a good trip 25 tails 2 muttons and two groupers and a yellow Jack and a nice mangrove and a Mac to top it off. They lost a nice 20 plus king at boat side and lost a few nice possible groupers on the bottom structure, we fished another spot in 120but the tide was so strong a 32oz was not holding so we came back to 55 feet and that’s where we did all the fishing. here are the pics,I tride to flip them, for more Go to www. miamimuttonman.com
