Default Miami mutton Report 5/22/12 key largo

Today I went out of key largo, with Jorge, on our third trip. We went to a 60 foot spot and we got some speedo and ballyhoo and two macks there, the tide was very slow so we didn’t even put a bait down. from there we went to another spot where we had better tide to the north but slow. I started a chum slick and got the Yellowtails behind the boat, and the anglers started catching fish averaging 16 to 23 inches, and 8 rainbow runners. On the bottom rod we only got a yellowtail. The fish here were biting good but we wanted to try for muttons and grouper in deeper water, so off we went. The ocean was 2 feet and a big rainstorm passed over us while anchored rain came down, for a few minutes and then, we left the spot and went to a couple more spots in deep water, where we got an 18 in mutton and a red grouper and an AJ and a cuda. here are the pics, for more go to [url]www.miamimuttonman.com
