Alabama Gulf Coast Memorial Weekend Report

As one can imagine this weekend will be filled with beer drinking 100hp jet skis across every flat in North America. If you're down our way and just gotta go fishing, here are a few tips. Go early, and I mean way early! You need to be ready to fish just before dawn, which right now is 5:00 am. Ready means in the water and at your spot. You can expect the boat ramp to be busy even at 4:45 am. You should be able to get in a couple of hours but after 7:30 am all bets are off. Your other option is to go out in the Gulf along the beaches for pompano, spanish mackeral, bluefish, jacks, and or redfish. Even then it could get crazy bad by 10:00 am. Anyway, good luck, be safe, and be extra patient at the free for all boat ramps!
