We fished Wednesday off Key Biscayne during the day and caught 3 sailfish, 2 kingfish over 20 pounds and another about 8 pounds, a nice blackfin tuna, a barracuda, a 40 pound wahoo and numerous little tunny from 10 to 20 pounds. We fished 120 feet of water with flatlines, a mid-depth bait and kite baits. All live herring for bait.
That evening we fished again from 5 to 9 PM. We fished live herring in 120 feet of water again. We caught a estimated 65 pound sailfish, 20 pound kingfish and 3 big blackfin tuna. We got several jumps out of another sailfish. We then ran back to the inlet. There we jumped off 1 tarpon and then caught a 80 pound tarpon. One tarpon ate a live shrimp and the other ate a live crab.
A day like this is why I love fishing off Miami, Florida.
