Default Through Rough Rain and Calm the fish Kept Biting

Over the last week we fished off Miami, Fl every day. That was in 30 knot winds, rain and now flat calm sunny weather. Now bear in mind you have to have the right clients for this as most would not want to go.

The Dietrich teenage girls and their dad were going to fish with me or without me, so we went Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They caught a couple sailfish, a big tuna, a 40 pound wahoo, several nice kingfish, 21 snook, a 80 pound tarpon, some bonito, almaco and amberjacks, mutton snappers, barracudas and several bonito.

We had a bachelor party that caught a dreamed about 80 pound tarpon and 4 snook.

We had a couple out, who were told they were crazy to try to fish in this weather after flying half way around the world to try for a tarpon. With 30 knot + winds they were turned away at Boca Grand, they were called crazy by a Miami guide and then Capt Harry of tackle shop fame told them to try Bouncer. They caught 3 tarpon over 100 pounds on live crabs. They jumped a 4th big tarpon. All this in just over 3 hours.

Now it is flat calm. Over the last couple days we have caught numerous big mutton snappers, a few kingfish to 20 pounds, big amberjacks, a sailfish every day, a few mahi, a couple 35 pound barracuda, a big scamp grouper, a couple 30 pound tuna, half a dozen big jack crevalle and half a dozen snook mostly over what would be the 32 inch slot in season.

We have a lot of open dates in July. Let's go catch some fish. captbouncer@bellsouth.net

    Nice catchin' there Capt.

Glad you had some clients who were willing to challange those 30 knot winds. I think fish bite better in the foul weather.
    This too shall pass.
