Fall is definitely in the air. We have already experienced our first few fronts with northerly winds. The fish are sensing the change. The mullet are grouping up on the beaches and have begun their annual southern migration. With this, all the predatory fish are on the feed, both on the beaches and in the lagoons.
The redfishing has been very strong, both in the shallows and for the larger schools. A few baby tarpon have also been around, adding some variety. Top water fishing for sea trout has also remained strong, walking style baits have been best, like Rapala Skitterwalks and MirroLure TopDogs. It’s been a productive and fun start to fall!
