Sailfish madness, Dorado and Tuna action! Manzanillo, Mexico.

Manzanillo,MX- The biggest port of Mexico in the pacific coast, small town but a lot of fishing. Last couple of days we celebrate the 59th International tournament on Sailfish, the prizes were 50,000 US first place more Jackpots, this time the Catch & Realese was a new categorie on the tournament, we have being fighting vs the commercial fishermans because they fish 30-40 sailfish per panga in one day. So the Conapesca who is encharge of this problem made an agreement with the commercial fishermans to start fishing 10 nautical miles offshore this is just the start to avoid this illegal fishing but we are having more fishing this year with this support of the Conapesca.

Also it's just the start of the Catch & Realese division the only thing missing is to tag the sailfish to make this division more credible.

Team Tex-Mex finish this tournament with: 7-12 sailfish (all C&R), 6 dorados and 1 yellow fin tuna 7th Place and 4th in Catch & Realese. We had a lot of fun!!!!

The sailfish are avarage weight (60-100 pounds), Dorado there are some bulls out there (10-50 pounds) and the yellow fin tuna (20-40 pounds) Good for sashimi.

The fishing is improving a lot in manzanillo, on 2 miles offshore you are in a hot zone on Sailfish, Dorado and tuna (Bluewater, a lot of bait). Stripped and blue Marlin has been to arrive to Manzanillo
