Undergunned Broke Off 4 Monster Cobia

Paddled offshore to the bob hall standpipe, it was a really nice day..when i got to the rig i tied off to it..my first drop with a white spro jig got me a nice snapper, second drop i hooked a monster ling..i tried to stop it from going into the rig and bent the hook on my spro jig, two other BIG cobia came up with it, i wish you could see them better on the video..hooked back to the rig and hooked another big ling on the very next drop..ended up breaking the hook on the spro jig..started fishing cut bait and had a nice ling spit the hook after a short fight..the last cobia hooked ate cut bait and was huge never managed to get on the camera or unclip from the rig..the fish went for the rig a few times and broke my 80 pound leader..
gonna work on a better system to unclip from the rig, it was taking to long and may have cost me a fish or two..i may also go up to 100 pound mono instead of 80 pound for the ling..im tired of losing them
i caught lots of snapper and some big bluefish i let everything go..
hooked all the ling in the first 30 minutes of fishing..the ling were in the 40-50 pound range..the guys who work on the rigs showed up and killed the bite for almost four hours...never did manage to hook into anything other than bluefish and snapper after the big boat showed up..

i hit a sandbar surfing a wave coming back through the surf, i started nose plowing pretty hard and ended up going flying at the second sandbar, it was a first for me :/
