The weather man was call was calling for a small craft advisory after 1 pm so I worked till 1 pm and then went fishing as advised.
The weather man was not quite right cause it was flat and glassy on my trip over to the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, it was pretty foggy when I got there. It cleared up later though.
I drifted live eels for a while with no luck so I decided my last 30 minutes I would troll. Glad I did!
After fifteen minutes of trolling a Stretch 25 in 100 feet of water with good marks I caught a nice 42 lb 47 inch Striped Bass.
He barely fit in my net. I was back home by 1645 hrs and took the Striper to Grafton Fishing Supply and had him weighed in for a Virginia Citation.
The wind is blowing now.

we tried the same methods; got 2 hook ups off strech 25s but fell short of getting them in the boat. Net wasn't big enough. Were you in the ditch near the concrete ships or out by the CBBT tunnels? -don
I was in the ditch off of Cape Charles.
