    Default 200-Pound Goliath Grouper Released Off Islamorda

    Jennifer Reeves reeled in and released this goliath grouper off Islamorada in the Florida Keys Monday, Dec. 10, 2012. The fish, estimated to weigh about 200 pounds, bit a butterflied Spanish mackerel. Tackle was a Penn Conquer spinning reel, Key Largo Rods' dual jigging stick and 40-pound-test Sufix 832 braid. Reeves is a meteorologist for NBC 6 Miami and co-host of the Florida Insider Fishing Report. She was fishing with Florida Keys media relations director Andy Newman on his boat.
