Rob Ralston and his wife Jackie joined us here on Isla Paridas to celebrate Rob's birthday and to see if he could get his first Marlin. The moon was approaching full and the bite tends to be very good for billfish the few days before. We had a couple of chances out at Isla Montuosa with Marlin on our baits but we weren't able to put the hook in one. We did however have some luck with the Yellowfin Tunas that starting to show up in numbers now. Also, a bunch of Dorados were around....that seem to be making up for the no show from last year.
I got some good footage at Isla Montuosa with the new GoPro Hero3 of a big Pacific Sail that we released as well check the video here.......

Thanks brother!
Nice photos and even nicer action. I'm going to have to return to the area and spend some time at your place Shane. I have some friends from Alaska that want to explore Panama.

Thanks Seth. Looking forward to meeting you and fishing with you sometime. Too bad I missed you guys. The Gulf of Chiriqui really heats up over the next few months action wise. Yellowfin Tunas move up into the Isla Montuosa/Hannibal Bank area in big numbers! Till August there are big YFTs around consistently. Try to get your Alaska buddies down here before then if planning it soon. Cheers!
