I would really appreciate some suggestions for outriggers for a 22' CC for billfishing in the S Padre Island area this next summer. I ahve been looking at the TACO and CE SMITH telescoping models. I do not have a T top. Folding bimini top only, but have console and railing around console as possible mounting area.
I have attached a photo
For me, any outriggers attached to your console would limit your working space on the sides. One idea might be to buy angled pole holders and through bolt it to the sides of your boat. Well caulked of course. The ones I bought were at 45 degree angles. You could fabricate them out of aluminum pipe. Angle the holder to extend straight out over the water. You can run your outside poles lying at 45 degrees out over the water. That way you can run two more lines straight back of the stern. Be sure the butt locks in good to the holder and you have a good safety line hooked to it. I'm sure there are other good ideas but I think this would be simple and work well with that small boat. Good luck fishing http://www.adventure-ocean.com/about-us.html
