Default A BLAST for our sport

Saturday, March 9, we can have a great time while supporting our great sport of fishing.
Join us for the FRA BLAST 2, a trap shooting event held in a natural, wooded environment. This is our second BLAST, and as with all things FRA, it gets better each time.

Win some amazing prizes in the FRA BLAST EPIC, a drawing for prizes including guns, ammo, fishing gear and much more.

Shooting here is like hunting in the wild!

On Saturday, March 9, 2013 meet new friends, see old friends and have a BLAST!

Whether you are a first time shooter, a crack shot or just a spectator, you will enjoy the beauty of the Tampa Bay Sporting Clays facility

To support the FRA is to support fishing. The stronger the FRA, the stronger we the fishermen/women are. So what exactly is the FRA fighting for:
    Fighting for

    YOUR FISHING RIGHTS and

    THE FUTURE OF RECREATIONAL FISHING

I love fishing the Florida Elbow or Middle Grounds. This is from our last trip to the Elbow two weeks ago. I want to go back ASAP.

However, I have canceled this week's trip to the Middle Grounds on the Florida Fisherman. It should be a very good trip. Hopefully someone else will provide coverage. The FRA BLAST is simply way too much to miss.

Instead of my regular offshore report, I will be reporting on the BLAST. Our own Captain Buddy, as well as a team from Hubbard's Marina, will be competing. Talk about a BLAST! Join me this Saturday in support of the sport we all love so much. Bob Harbison

Default Re: A BLAST for our sport

I missed the 39 hour trip on the Florida Fisherman this last weekend. It turned out to be a tuna trip. Instead, my daughter & I joined our own Captain Buddy, MotherOcean, at the FRA BLAST! A representative of Congressman Gus Bilirakis, Ms. Elizabeth Hittos, attended and discussed NOAA & the catch shares program. A full report will follow. Please take a few minutes and listen to the very important message Elizabeth has to offer. It concerns all of us. I will post a full report, pictures, and a video, containing Ms Hittos' message, as quickly as I can put it together.
