Need new reel

I had a Daiwa saltwater reel and rod combo. Great reel, however I killed it by not cleaning it out for a year
after a fishing trip. So now im looking for a new reel to strap onto a 9ft rod. The rod is a daiwa DWV G902 MFS. (cant find a picture or a website for the details).
Im trying to keep the price low. I found a reel by daiwa that Im interested in. here is the link. Let me know what yall think.

The fish im going for is anything I can get my hands off of for surf fishing. Going to destin florida this
summer and trying to get things going.
