Rant about Melton Tackle. Has anybody had problems with them?
Watch what you buy from Melton Tackle. I purchased a Pelagic Hurricane Jacket the end of January that ended up being to big. I call to exchange it for a smaller size and was told that it was on clearance and was non-returnable. Not anywhere did it say when I was making my purchase that is was on clearance and non-returnable. It doesn't even say it on that invoice for Melton. So after telling the phone rep that I was not happy and would never purchase anything again from Melton, our conversation ended. About 5 minutes later I received a call from Tracy Melton. I again explained the fact that no where did it say non-returnable. At the end of our conversation Mr. Melton said that he would exchange the jacket if I agreed to pay the difference and that he would email me a return authorization number. Well that hasn't happened. I guess that customer satisfaction isn't a priority for Melton. Make sure if you buy anything from them, that it's returnable if there's a problem. I'll never purchase anything from them again and that's sad to say.

I have been their customer for over 15 years and never had anything other than great service from them. A couple of order delays over this long period, nothing else. I obviously don't know the specifics of your case, but I would try emailing them again for the return authorization number. Honest mistakes can happen on both sides and it would be a lose/lose outcome for both parties if you stopped buying from them over this incident. Don't give up! Good luck!
