The constant rains for the last couple of weeks has made the fishing tough. I'm lazy, so I fish from 9 to 5. Love the heat. The Snapper have been real active this year. Boated four keepers, and four shorts. Threw them all back. Last week the Tarpon were out. Jumped one and missed a second shot. Trout were on last week, one at 6 pounds and four slots. This week the Trout were not to be found. Also last week produced a pair of short Snook. There is hope for a come back. Missed one this week, she crushed a Flat Rap, total destruction. This week one 20 inch Red came out to play. Missed another one on a top water. Love the show, but hate working new lures. A change of hooks should raise the hook up ratio. Bull Sharks seem to have disappeared, now the small Black Tips are in.
The grass is starting to show up in some of the back pockets. Also, the water is getting back to its normal brown color.
