The mouseketeers were out in force this week. The Mouse Reds ranged from 11 to 14 inches. Missed a couple of good ones. The Snook are starting to show up in the drops off of the Mangroves. First one barely broke 7 inches. The next one was right at the 15 inch mark. Landed 3 slot Trout, 15 to 19 inches. Only got one short. Found the mother lode of short Trout. Working one of the flats it was a constant pop on the popper. They were to small to take the hook. Most looked to be in the 6 to 8 inch range. Bait has gotten scarce especially for this time of year.
The grass on the flats is starting to come back, and in some areas the water is clear.
If you are not doing anything special on the 20th, come to the Riverside Cafe in Vero to watch the weigh in for the FLFA final. Check myflfa.co for times.
