Default Grady White F-26 Tigercat

Can anyone give me a review of the Grady White catamaran? I am considering buying a used one. They were only made from '97 to '00. As far as power cats go, how do they compare with the others (World Cat, Glacier Bay)? Any advice?

It is a planing cat and as such, will NEVER ride as smoothly as a displacement cat hull. My personal opinion is that since smooth ride is almost the sole reson people buy a catamaran, displacement hulls are superior to palning hulls.

Default Grady White Cat

I own a 97 Grady Cat. I love the boat. Just re-powered with Hondas. Cats are not like "v" hulls as they tend to liste or ride on one sponson more than the other. Some mornings when the seas look kinda rough, I go out when the charter boats stay at home.

Default I love my F-26

I bought the Grady White Tigercat and I have raised everything from 288lb Thresher Shark, kingfish, dolphin, tuna & marlin out of Indian River Inlet, Delaware. I find it to be a well thought out fishing boat, with a very smooth ride even in rough seas. No banging! The only time that it lists from one sponson to another is at very high speeds motors trimed all the way down(2-200hp) on very flat water in the bay. The solution is to trim the motors up a little or slow down. I love my Cat & I would recommend.

Default tigercat

I have been running my tigercat out of morehead city since 1997. Find the information on the webb(Hull-Truth) laughable. I wouldn't trade my boat for any other. Will be repowering next year.

Default just bought tiger cat 26 as well

So far I love the boat. Seems to handle better than any other boat in bad seas. Question though, I will need to repower this fall, and am wondering if I can put 4-strokes on the back. Was told it would ride too low, transome not strong enough, possibly get water in the engines. What do you think?

We bought a Grady White Tigercat two years ago and so far have enjoyed running it in good weather. I'm looking forward to getting it out and through the Pensacola pass this spring. I would like to read more about the problems that I see posted on the internet with listing and correcting the problem.

Any info out there please post or email me.
