Default New Pontoon Boat (product review)

I started searching for a well-built 3 person pontoon boat in August without much success. Most pontoon boat manufacturers make a 2 person vessel but very few make a 3 person and especially a 3-inline fly fishing model.

I looked at Scadden boats and wasn't impressed with their 13' foot 3 person model. Although it looks cool, there's just not much room to fish, it has lots of pieces and is a royal pain to assemble and take down.

NRS makes a nice boat that with a of couple custom adjustments would fit my needs, but then again I felt they were asking a bit much for the product and didn't feel like being pidgeon holed with NRS pontoons.

Finally, I found a local boat builder willing to build a completely custom boat tailored to my specific needs as a guide. Bruce Bittler at Water Ready Boats outside of Salem was fantastic! He built an amazing boat that I picked up two days before Christmas and ran Christmas eve. I put the boat through the ringer, including lots of rocks, heavy water and small waterfalls. It handles well, floats high, and fishes beautifully. Kudos.

If anyone is thinking of getting a pontoon boat 1, 2 or 3 person, Water Ready gets my stamp of approval. But that's just my 2 cents.
