Default catamaran vs bay boat

i want a boat that i can fish inshore and offshore. Out n the gulf. I like both type of boats but dont know which would be better. from what i ca gather the twin vee 26 ft is still a great boat to be able to do both. im confused. for the bay boats ive been looking at the fishmaster 2450, hydra sport and pro line. bay boats i worry about how they will handle offshore fishing. anyone with experience with either of these types of boats?

Default Cat or monohull

My two skiffs that I use when not fishing from da big boat are a 27ft Ocean Smasher with twin 200hp 'Rudes and a 27ft Shamrock with a single diesel inboard. Both are able to fish most shallow water areas, drawing 22-inches and are equally effective 20-30 miles offshore. However, I like the GB Cats, a lot and have fished them in the PNW on several occasions. The downside is the high freeboard and operating cost.
