Default kicktail lure

Just wondering if any body has had any luck with the lure Kicktail. Been thinking of getting some for my Son in law for his birtday. I don't know anything about fishing so who better to ask but people who fish.
Any info good or bad.

Default kicktail lure

They are junk. Bought 3 and was outfished 12 to 0. The diver tail didn't work and came with broken hooks.

Default Kicktail Lure

I agree, that the Kicktail is an awsome lure but some people bitch that it doesnt work and thats because they didnt fish it right. I know because when I first fished it I wansnt reeling it fast enough and then once I reeled it really fast I caught 15 nice sized Bass in 1 hour and 2 of them were 5 pounders

Default What's the best way to use the kick-tail

What is the best way to use the kick-tail. Just using the lure itself is not working for me, it floats to easily. How do I rig it up?

Default Kicktail selection

What are the best thre Kicktails color/type for general lake fishing and bay/salt water? Theres no one to direct the question on the Kicktail site.

Understand that conditions drive selection, but you have to start somewhere.

Default Kicktail

I have not used one, but the guys whom I know who have say they aren't built very well, they snag a lot, and aren't good in most applications, unless you are on schooling bass that are feeding on shad.

This article kind of sums it up well...
